Alcohol in morocco

Morocco being an Islamic country has definitely some restrictions. But, they are liberal too in many of the cases. And drinking alcohol is allowed here. You can buy and drink alcohol from any of the bars or restaurants available there. But, ensure the bar or restaurants are licensed ones. Also, the local people do not feel offended at all by this behavior. But, consuming alcohol outside the licensed bar or restaurants are not allowed in Morocco.

Drinks are highly-priced in Morocco. So, if you are planning to make a trip there very recently, you can definitely carry some with you. There are no restrictions on it. But, stay away from drugs. This is not allowed there and any wrong cases can results in prison sentences for many years.

Anyways, if you are planning to test the beer or other drinks in Morocco, you can try the following beers.

Casa- This is a local beer. You can taste it to have their local taste.
Flag special- This is another most popular beer in Morocco which is really affordable.

Morocco is a dream destination and visiting this heavenly country is like a dream come true. The tourists are flooded with loads of stuff to enjoy there and the local warm hospitality is really appreciable. The people and culture of Morocco is the blend of Arab and European style. And, we all know about the excellent Arabian hospitality. But, Amazigh hospitality is even more popular and people in that area are really humorous, open and social. As a tourist, you can definitely expect excellent kindness and warm greeting all through the country.

Safety is another concern that comes to mind while visiting a new country. And thankfully, that is maintained at the best in Morocco. However, be careful always to avoid the infrequent petty thief, scammers, and catcallers.

If you visit a family in Morocco and they invite you for lunch or dinner, you will be bound to collect a new amazing experience. You will be seated on the floor with a small table. You need to eat with your right hand. They usually do not use a fork or spoon. But, do not forget to carry some small gifts such as fruits, nuts or pastries.

Morocco is a Muslim country and they are conservative too. But, they are more relaxed as compared to other Islamic countries. And, you should always be respectful towards the people and culture of this country as a good sign of etiquette.

Hence, please note the following rules before you book any trip or package with Kam Kam Dunes. Please also note that any type of relaxation in the cancellation policy is not there for any type of customer. And Kam Kam Dunes has the right to change any of its rules prior to your booking without your knowledge.

Booking is not confirmed until the payment has been successful. Booking is non-refundable. A full charge will be applied when doing the booking. Each booking requires a lot of logistics to bring you into the desert. So, in the event of cancellation, the full amount will be still charged. If you let us know 30 days in advance we will issue a promo code for the amount of the booking to be used at Kam Kam Dunes for you or any friend in the next year. If the notice is less than 30 days the booking will be non-refundable. Travel insurance is not included. Please read all our terms and conditions here. Can I arrive via public transport?

Simply speaking, yes, you can arrive at Merzouga by public transport. But note that, you can take a bus from either Marrakech or Fez. In the case of Marrakech, the departure starts daily at 8:30 and the first of those buses arrive at Merzouga at around 21:00.

On the other hand, if you are coming from Fez there are some other things to consider. First of all, you are supposed to be here on a night bus that starts at 20:30 from Fez and reaches Merzouga at around 7:15 the next morning. Early in the morning there are two possible options in front of you. Firstly you can opt for an early check-in which would cost you 50 EURO per person (MINIMUM TWO PERSONS). This would include a tour across the dunes and a lunch in a restaurant.

The alternative option is to stop at the city Rissaini, Roam around there, do some sightseeing & have your lunch there. After lunch, you can take a taxi or something along that line to get from Rissaini to Merzouga.
